  1.   almosthumanadam: This is the world we live in. Make it better, because we can. Well, crap. Now I feel terribly ungrateful complaining about the struggle to buy a house. At least I have a place to live and food to eat. I read somewhere once that if the US stopped professional golf for just one year, the money saved could eliminate world hunger. I’m one of those people who grew up determined to make a difference and now I make no difference. I’m also one of those people who has read too many behind the scenes facts and is too cynical to be able to choose a charity to donate my money to. I don’t want to line the pockets of a charity’s CEO. I want to help in a hands-on way. I just don’t know how.
